About The Position
Discovery Kidzone is hiring a caring, dependable, and energetic Classroom Specialist for DKZ West in Bozeman. This entry-level role supports classrooms and teachers across different age groups, helping classrooms run smoothly and creating positive, engaging experiences for children. No previous childcare experience is required; paid onboarding, classroom training, ongoing support, and professional development are provided. The position offers part-time or full-time opportunities.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be passionate about working with children and comfortable working with different age groups.
- Be caring, patient, dependable, flexible, organized, positive, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be willing to learn and complete required Montana licensing and training requirements.
- Be CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Support classrooms and age groups throughout the center.
- Assist with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and daily schedule coverage.
- Support daily routines, including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting.
- Engage children through storytelling, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities.
- Encourage positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments.
- Collaborate with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs.
- Communicate professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate.
