Childcare Assistant Director
About The Position
As a daycare assistant director at The Sunshine House, you will play a crucial role in the safety, education, and childcare of young children. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping a child's future. The Sunshine House has a 50-year legacy of providing early childhood education and care. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and company policies, performing administrative duties, giving tours to prospective families, maintaining records, and supporting teachers in curriculum implementation. You will also nurture positive relationships with families, staff, licensing representatives, and the community, and assist in the classroom when needed.
Requirements
- Proof of high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of a degree in education
- Level 3 or higher in Colorado Shines and Director qualified
- Previous experience managing a childcare center - 1 year required
- Proficient computer skills in a variety of business-related programs, including Microsoft Office
- At least 21 years old
- A passion for providing high-quality care and education
Responsibilities
- Help manage the daily operations of childcare school, ensuring we meet state licensing requirements and company policies.
- Perform administrative duties, give impactful tours to families, maintain records, ensure state licensing/policy compliance, and help keep everything running smoothly.
- Partner with families to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Support teachers in implementing our curriculum, enabling developmentally appropriate classrooms that spark curiosity and growth.
- Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing representatives, and the community.
- Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.
