Childbirth Educator Women's Health
About The Position
Seeking a Childbirth Educator for Baptist Health Floyd, Women's Health Services. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) on the 2nd shift and is benefit-eligible. The Childbirth Educator will teach childbirth education classes as directed, assist in the development and evaluation of childbirth education programs, and serve as a childbirth education resource to the community. Women's Health Services is located on the same floor as the Labor and Delivery unit, is a 19-bed unit utilizing a couplet care model following AWHONN staffing guidelines, and also cares for female post-operative patients who have recently undergone gynecological or bariatric procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited BSN program.
- Current IN or compact state RN license required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN on Mother/Baby or Labor Unit required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience required.
Responsibilities
- Teach childbirth education classes as directed.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of childbirth education programs.
- Serve as a childbirth education resource to the community.
