About The Position

The Child Welfare Supervisor will supervise case managers to achieve outcomes related to children in traditional and relative foster care. This includes ensuring children live in safe environments, maintain stable placements for their well-being, and achieve permanent living arrangements. The supervisor will oversee placements and progress toward permanency, develop staff skills, provide clear expectations, regular supervision, and corrective discipline. The role also involves promoting strong leadership, teamwork, and cohesiveness within the assigned team. The supervisor will represent the program to participants, outside providers, and within the Agency, ensuring staff utilize a customer service approach.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or a similar degree from an accredited university.
  • 3-4 years of recent experience in Child Welfare.
  • 1-2 years prior Foster Care experience required.
  • Must be CWEL licensed.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and work with staff, foster parents, applicants, and the community at large.
  • Must possess high level of computer literacy.
  • Must be willing and able to support the mission of Lydia Home Association (LHA).

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
