About The Position

This internship, as part of the Family Case Management program, is designed to expose bachelor's level students to direct practice in the field of child welfare while completing a required Bachelors in Social Work undergraduate program. Under the direction of a Child Welfare Case Manager and/or Family Support Supervisor, this position will perform child welfare tasks.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a certified Bachelors of Social Work degree program.
• Maintain good standing and complete all related undergraduate program work and responsibilities at the sponsoring university.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, personal liability insurance coverage and the ability to be insured by the CHW auto insurance carrier.
• Knowledge of child development stages.
• Knowledge of the issues confronted by the families within the child welfare system service site.
• Ability to work with diverse groups in a culturally competent manner.
• Demonstrated ability to organize information in a systematic method by utilizing management information systems and skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong teamwork skills.
