About The Position

JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a full-time Child Welfare Case Specialist to join its Somerset County, Pennsylvania team. The role supports children and families by assessing needs, coordinating services, monitoring progress, and promoting safety and well-being. The position requires an associate’s degree and experience working with youth and families, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle. Candidates must pass required background clearances and a pre-employment, post-offer drug screening. The schedule includes some evenings and weekends, and the specialist may need to transport clients in a personal vehicle.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• Experience working with youth and families.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass all required background clearances.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
• Availability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review information from the County Intake Department and assess client needs.
• Engage families in service and treatment planning to promote stability and positive outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and update plans as needed.
• Transport clients using a personal vehicle when required.
