Family Wellness Child Watch Caregivers
About The Position
The Family Wellness Child Watch Caregiver provides care for infants to 10 year olds in a drop-in childcare environment. This job is located at Family Wellness at 2700 46th Ave SE in Mandan. Child Watch is a drop-in childcare program that provides members a safe, fun and supervised place for their children while they utilize the facility. The Missouri Valley Family YMCA has more than 22,000 members, serving 1 in 5 households in the Bismarck-Mandan community. The Family Wellness location opened in Mandan near Raging Rivers Waterpark in January 2017. The YMCA is a powerful association of men, women, and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We offer a wide variety of programming and wellness opportunities to individuals and families of all kinds. Requirements
- Displays the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
- Ability to handle competing demands
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with parents
- Candidates ages 14 and older
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a childcare or children's program
Responsibilities
- Be a role model
- Assure that children receive safe playtime, snacks, learning activities, diaper changing, and bathroom breaks
- Use appropriate disciplinary methods
- Observe children and communicate appropriately with parents
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment by completing cleaning duties as assigned
- Attend and be an active participant at staff meetings
