About The Position

Goodwill of Central East Texas has been celebrating and advocating the power of work since 1988. A requirement of this position, is that the individual hired must provide documentation of having a disability. This is a State Set Aside Contract, which requires that employees have a qualifying disabling condition. Employees will be employed by and paid by Goodwill of Central East Texas Inc. This position is not hired by the state's office but rather, through Goodwill. Requirements

  • Knowledge of child support laws, policies, principles, and practices; and of investigative practices and techniques.
  • Skill in interviewing and in conducting investigations, in basic mathematics, and in the operation of computers and applicable computer software.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate information; and to communicate effectively.
  • Skill in using a personal computer for word-processing and data entry/retrieval.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
  • Must provide documentation of having a disability.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine (journey-level) child support work.
  • Work involves conducting investigations to locate or trace absent parents and to determine or establish paternity, enforcing court orders of child support, preparing case documentation, and monitoring cases.
  • Reviews cases to determine if the cases are eligible for closure.
  • Reviews and maintains child support virtual files for accuracy in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) repository.
