About The Position

This position will have a focus on juvenile matters involving child support-related issues and will require appearances at the Juvenile Division of the District Court in Tulsa. It will also involve preparation and filing of pleadings and trial of cases in child support-related hearings in district and administrative courts. Duties will include consultation and negotiation with other attorneys and customers of Oklahoma Child Support Services, and interpretation of laws, regulations, opinions of the court, and policy. Position will train and assist staff with the preparation of legal documents and ensure their compliance with ethical considerations.

Requirements

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
License to practice law in State of Oklahoma
Active membership in Oklahoma Bar Association
Possess a valid driver's license
Maintain required car insurance

Nice To Haves

Two years of legal experience or adjudicative experience (for Level II)
Five years of legal experience or adjudicative experience (for Level III)
Seven years of legal experience including two years of litigation, or agency-defined experience in the practice of law e.g. tax, or supervisory experience (for Level IV)
Experience in child support

Responsibilities
