About The Position

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Child Support Services (CSS) - Administrative Operations is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Account Resolution Unit (ARU) in the role of Section manager. This position plans, directs, and evaluates the activities of the Account Resolution Unit (ARU), analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed data processing programs as they relate to the functions of the ARU; implements policies and procedures for the unit; gathers and analyzes information and drafts complex reports for management review; develops and executes procedural support and guidance programs statewide; serves as a working supervisor. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Account Resolution Unit (ARU) Section Manager. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization
  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
  • Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a lapto.
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience analyzing production reports, computer data and information to evaluate policies and operating procedures
  • Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience including the following: assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline adherence to collective bargaining unit agreements, training staff and approving time off
  • Two (2) years of experience working in the field of child support
  • Two (2) years of experience conducting professional team meetings
  • Two (2) years of experience conducting performance evaluations
  • Two (2) years of experience speaking in public to large and small audiences

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Child Support Account Resolution Manager by planning, directing and evaluating the activities of the Account Resolution Unit (ARU) for the Bureau of Child Support Services (CSS) Administrative Operations
  • Serves as a working supervisor
  • Gathers and analyzes information and drafts complex reports for management review
  • Implements policies and procedures for the ARU
  • Develops and executes procedural support and guidance programs statewide
  • Serves as Child Support IV-D program consultant for the unit
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
