This role involves providing fair, respectful, and culturally relevant services to First Nations children and families, adhering to Agency By-Laws, Policies, Procedures, and Ontario Child Protection Standards. The worker will develop community links, offer ongoing child protection services to a caseload of voluntary and non-voluntary clients, and investigate allegations of child abuse or maltreatment. Responsibilities include intervening in crisis situations, assessing risk, advocating for support services, participating in team objectives, coordinating customary care and society placements, and acting as a witness in court matters.
