About The Position

Jefferson Southern Corporation (JSC) is a Tier One automotive supplier that produces and sells parts ready for installation in automobiles. These parts are stamped from steel and then welded, forming crucial components of the car's "white body" or interior shell. While not highly visible, these parts are vital for the vehicle's strength, safety, and performance. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficient and safe production, managing workflow, and addressing any issues that arise.

Requirements

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp objects and constant loud noise.
Regularly required to use hands to touch and handle objects; bend; crawl; grasp; push; reach above the shoulders; perform repetitive motions; walk; hear; see, including close vision; stand for long hours; stoop; kneel; sit; climb; balance.
Occasionally lift/carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure all associates are trained on work instructions and assigned tasks accordingly.
Ensure no weld downtime.
Communicate part shortages with production control and stamping.
Ensure associates work in an effective and efficient manner.
Able to perform all associate duties as needed.
Address all safety issues/violations accordingly.
Respond quickly and effectively when problems arise, seek guidance from Coordinator or Manager when needed.
Ensure all associates follow FIFO.
Oversee delivery/put away as necessary during sort/containment activities.
Ensure 5S duties are completed by all associates daily.
Follow all policy and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
