In this role, as the Child Life Specialist (CLS), you will have an exciting opportunity to provide psychosocial and developmentally based assessments and support for patients and their families. As an active member of the interdisciplinary care team based at NYP/Westchester, you will strive to enhance the quality of patient care through participation, documentation, and communication of care plans and treatment goals. Our accredited Child Life Specialists collaborate with nurses, social workers, and clinical professionals to create a normalized healthcare environment for young patients. We provide age-appropriate activities and diversions.

Requirements

• Child Life Council verified Internship hours (minimum 480 hours)
• Certified Child Life Specialist by the Child Life Council
• Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development or closely related field

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience with hospitalized children

Responsibilities
