About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking passionate Child Interventionists/ABA Behavior Technicians (both entry-level and experienced) to teach young children affected by autism. The mission is to make a socially meaningful change in the lives of children and families by hiring passionate, caring people to serve children and families affected by autism. This is a part-time role requiring 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 15 hours per week required for training in the first 3 weeks of employment. The work involves direct interaction with children and families in their natural environment, teaching essential skills through play-based activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• A love and passion for working with children
• Interest in learning
• Valid driver's license & personal vehicle
• Web Enabled Device (laptop or tablet)
• At least 3 weekdays with same availability
• Positive attitude and strong people skills to work with children and families

Nice To Haves

• A year of experience working with children

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the child and the family in their natural environment (most often their home).
• Teach children how to communicate, share, play, wait, and other essential skills.
• Make home-sessions fun by teaching through play-based activities.
• Bring calm, protection, and happiness to families and children affected by autism.
