About The Position

Community Care Network is seeking a Child Outpatient Clinician in Rutland, Vermont. Community Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities, individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human services. The Child Outpatient Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to meet the customer service, quality and overall goals of Rutland Mental Health Services. This role involves meeting the program’s uniquely-defined internal/external compliance standards and performance measures, and developing and maintaining close working relationships with internal/external professional staff to provide quality coordinated services. The clinician will provide direct service to clients and families, including clinical assessment, treatment planning, service planning and coordination, community supports, and individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions. Additionally, the role includes providing appropriate professional development leadership and training to clinical and other agency staff as defined by the Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Masters level Human Service degree required.
  • Vermont State license required after 5 years (Rostering allowed per OPR rule).
  • Experience in psychological treatment of adults, children and families.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
  • Ability to conduct professional work in a manner that reflects agency values.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to appropriately utilize supervision as needed.
  • Able to work independently, part of a team and exercise mature and professional judgment.
  • Capable of being a self-starter and ability to coordinate multiple projects at once.
  • Flexible, adaptable and have the capability to work in a fast paced, professional environment.
  • Proficient using computer and necessary software as well as experience with navigating an Electronic Medical Record to complete client documentation.
  • Knowledge of maintaining and executing confidential information using HIPPA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the completion of all billable and non-billable service and documentation in the EHR.
  • Attend regular supervision with Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager consistent with agency supervision policy.
  • Discuss all cases in supervision including more rapid access for client and family situations where there is a risk of harm, abuse or neglect, a major traumatic event, a change of legal status, criminal behavior or relevant ethical issues.
  • Attend supervisions, departmental meetings and trainings as directed by the Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.
  • Maintains performance standards of staff consistent with Agency, Program, Compliance and Budgetary goals.
  • Achieves high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ensures that RMHS property under their supervision is properly maintained.
  • Provide consultation with agency staff as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with managers and Agency.
  • Engage in program development activities and marketing that supports and expands RMHS services within the community.
  • Provide and attend training as needed to support the overall goals of the Child OP program.
  • Provides volume of clinical services per week as defined by Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.
  • Maintains caseload size as defined by Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.
  • Completes additional relevant duties as assigned by the Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.
