About The Position
FirstSteps is seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and related learning differences in a supportive, play-based environment. The goal is to help children build essential communication, social, independence, and everyday life skills. FirstSteps is committed to providing evidence-based, behavior analytic treatment and fostering a positive, collaborative work experience. They offer paid training, hands-on mentorship, and opportunities for career advancement, with many leaders having started in similar hands-on roles. This position is ideal for individuals who love working with children and are looking for a more impactful career path. The role involves part-time afternoon hours, Monday through Friday, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Requirements
- Professional experience helping children learn and grow (e.g., preschool teacher, Montessori guide, early childhood educator).
- Ability to connect with children and meet them at their developmental level.
- Willingness to celebrate small achievements.
