About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. This role involves working one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities to help them develop essential communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABTC provides comprehensive paid training, clinical support, and mentorship, making it an excellent opportunity for those starting their careers or seeking meaningful hands-on experience in fields like Psychology, Child Development, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Special Education, Speech or Occupational Therapy, and Nursing/Healthcare. ABA is an evidence-based approach that uses positive reinforcement and individualized strategies to help children learn skills for greater independence and navigate challenging behaviors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
  • Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with children is a plus
  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
  • Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
  • Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
  • Attend ongoing training and team meetings
