The Child Development Manager will help facilitate cohesiveness and structure among regions and establish lines of communication and protocols with respect to Program Area Services. This role involves revising Program Service Areas, developing systematic approaches for reporting and tracking program services, and maintaining best practices across regions. The manager will coordinate with other program staff to develop a comprehensive workplan, including Infant/Toddler and Pre-School services, and provide training and technical assistance. A key responsibility is designing and implementing a Child Development Program that includes a School Readiness Plan, updating the child development manual, selecting appropriate curriculums and assessment tools, and formulating a documentation process for child progress. The position also involves developing and maintaining a School Readiness Advisory Committee, ensuring lesson plans and classroom environments meet individualized needs and Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and managing the purchase of classroom supplies and equipment. Collaboration with Early Intervention personnel is crucial for addressing the needs of children with disabilities and facilitating transitional activities. The role includes conducting CLASS observations, tracking Child Development services, assisting staff in interpreting child observation data, and supporting parents in enhancing their skills. The manager will also assist with the transition of children to kindergarten and other transitions, gather and analyze data for reporting requirements, and obtain feedback from parents and policy groups on Child Development program requirements. This position requires regular in-state travel (60%+) and intrastate travel (up to 10%).
