About The Position
Child Development Assistant School Age positions are entry-level and work with Discovery Club. This is a part-time, permanent position with a work year of 12 months/year, 260 days/year, 5 days/week. The daily schedule is 4 hours, Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The salary ranges from $18.11 - $19.74 per hour or $3,139 - $3,421 per month.
Requirements
- Completed application listing experience, education, and/or training that is relevant to this position.
- Proof of completion of (2) two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) via OFFICIAL transcripts.
- OFFICIAL transcripts must prove completion of 12 units ECE/Child Development courses including core courses.
- If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, coursework must be evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts from an accredited United States college or university.
- Proof of completion of at least 50 days' experience in an instructional capacity in a childcare and development program, working at least 3 hours per day within the last 2 years. Proof must be on employer official letterhead.
Nice To Haves
- Proof of Associate Teacher Permit (ATP) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
- Higher education that includes completion of college units in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
- Completion of 6 ECE units.
- Previous experience working with school-age children ages 5-12.
