About The Position
This position is responsible for providing Child Care services for children in the child watch areas including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs. The role involves preparing and maintaining records, ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property, and assisting with the set-up, oversight, and cleanup of children’s parties as scheduled. The Child Care Worker builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents to ensure an enriching and nurturing experience for their children. They develop and implement hands-on, age-appropriate activities, determine and ensure availability of necessary supplies and materials, and prioritize children's safety in their utilization. The role also involves providing opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both indoor and outdoor activities, and preparing and serving children's snacks, ensuring they are nutritional and tasteful.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- TWO (2) years’ experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
- Ability to lift, hold, and carry toddlers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy environment.
- Builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents in order to ensure an enriching and nurturing experience for their children.
