About The Position

This casual position provides childcare services for adolescents, including personal care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, and specialized programs. The role involves planning and developing activities, preparing and maintaining records, and meeting with Leads/Case Managers to discuss the progress of children. The Child Care Worker will utilize positive parenting practices in dealing with negative behaviors of children and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the property. The position requires providing constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner, and implementing age-appropriate activity and development plans utilizing discovery areas and hands-on activities. The role also involves observing the needs and progress of the children, communicating with Lead/Case Manager, and providing input and documentation on the physical, emotional, social, and academic needs of the individual children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years’ Childcare experience (experience with teens preferred) with knowledge of the principles and practices of Child Behavior and Development, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State Driver's License and driving record approved by Territorial Headquarters Risk Management.
• Must possess valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Requires a level 2 background screening.
