About The Position
This position is responsible for providing Child Care services for children in the child watch areas including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs. The role involves preparing and maintaining records, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property, and assisting with the set-up, oversight, and cleanup of children’s parties as scheduled. The Child Care Worker builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents to ensure an enriching and nurturing experience for their children. They develop and implement hands-on, age-appropriate activities, ensuring appropriate supplies and materials are available and that children's safety is maintained. The role also involves providing opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside activities, and preparing and serving children snacks, ensuring they receive nutritional and tasteful food.
Requirements
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety
- Ability to lift, hold, and carry toddlers on a regular basis
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- TWO (2) years’ experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

- Determines appropriate supplies and materials are available at all times; ensures the children’s safety in utilizing the same
- Provides opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside activities
- Prepares and serves children snacks; ensures that children receive nutritional and tasteful food
