About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a Child Care Teacher for full-time, in-person work with preschoolers at an early education/preschool child care center in Manhattan Beach, California. The teacher provides supervision and care, delivers curriculum and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance, and complies with applicable laws and regulations to ensure children’s safety. The role offers opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
• Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Meet the position’s physical requirements, including lifting and carrying children, participating in classroom activities, and responding appropriately to unexpected situations or emergencies.

Nice To Haves

• College-level coursework in early childhood education, a CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.
• One year of professional teaching experience in a child care, daycare, or preschool setting.

Responsibilities

• Keep the classroom safe and clean by following essential procedures and guidelines.
