Child Care Teacher
About The Position
Bright Horizons is hiring Child Care Teachers to work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at the BH Family Center at Oak Hill in Austin, Texas. The role provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and other services in an early education/preschool child care center, following Bright Horizons policies and applicable laws and regulations. The position is in person. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Full-time classroom schedules listed are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM for infants, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM for Twos, and 9:00 AM–6:00 PM for toddlers. Bright Horizons offers opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through its Horizons CDA & Degree Program. The hourly pay range is $16.10–$21.70, with actual offers depending on factors including experience, education, training, certifications, geography, and other business or organizational factors. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
- Pass required state and company background checks.
- Meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
Nice To Haves
- College-level coursework in early childhood education, a CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.
- One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
Responsibilities
- Create hands-on activities that meet the needs and interests of the children.
- Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
- Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Help ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care.
