About The Position

The Child Care / Teacher encourages the healthy intellectual growth of children from infancy through age 12. The role involves teaching and supervising children while motivating them to use their imagination. The teacher plans and follows activity schedules, provides basic care, evaluates children’s learning and development, communicates with parents, observes children’s interactions, and works with peers while following teaching standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

Experience as a child care or daycare teacher.
Excellent knowledge of child development and current education methods.
Methodical and creative approach.
Patience, flexibility, and love for children.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Certificate in first aid and infant CPR.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
One year of teaching experience (preferred).
One year of childcare experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Design and follow a schedule of activities and identify suitable teaching materials.
Balance teaching between logical and social activities.
Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
Use varied teaching methods, including stories, media, indoor and outdoor games, and drawing.
Evaluate children’s performance to ensure they are progressing in their learning.
Communicate regularly with parents and update them on their children’s progress.
Observe children’s interactions.
Identify behavioral problems and determine an appropriate course of action.
Collaborate with peers.
Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations.
