About The Position

Deer Valley Resort is seeking a Child Care Teacher for the Winter 2026-27 season. This role involves providing positive, quality care for children aged two months to 12 years in a safe and organized environment, while adhering to state licensing policies and procedures for the Child Care Center. Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • At least 6 months of previous work experience with children in private or child care settings
  • Detail-oriented, patient, enjoy working with children, able to remain calm and positive during stressful times and able to write documentation of children’s daily activities for parents
  • Able to lift at least 30 lbs., be on your feet six to nine hours a day and withstand frequent up-and-down/ twisting/repetitive movements
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • TB test, fingerprints and complete background check in accordance with state child care licensing
  • Training for Utah food handlers permit
  • Trained and certified in infant CPR (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Feed, change and supervise children ages two months to 12 years; dress/undress them, making sure all personal items are accounted for; change diapers when appropriate
  • Lift and carry babies and toddlers
  • Attend to children's personal needs
  • Record events of the day for each child; discuss them with child's parents
  • Assist Supervisors and Leads with various tasks, such as, set up, cleaning, etc.
