About The Position

Immediate vacancies are available in Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County for Child Care Providers. This role involves providing short-term supervision and care for children while adults conduct transactions in a County office. The eligible list will be used primarily for the Transitional Assistance Department but may be utilized for other departments as needed. Candidates with bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply, and additional compensation may be available for these skills. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used exclusively for vacancies in Yucca Valley. Applicants must indicate a willingness to work in Yucca Valley to be considered. Requirements

Six (6) months of full-time (40 hours per week) paid or volunteer child care experience working with at least three (3) young children (between the ages of 2 years to 11 years) in a licensed facility/setting.
Experience must be attained in a licensed facility/setting. Non-licensed babysitting/child care experience is not considered qualifying.
Must be able to lift small children and other objects up to 45 lbs.
Must possess an official photo identification card.
Pass a pre-employment physical, including a tuberculosis test.
Pass a background investigation including a fingerprint check and search of the Child Abuse Index.
Indicate a willingness to work in Yucca Valley.
