Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service, kitchen, dietary, childcare, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet physical requirements related to standing, lifting, and food preparation activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with childcare center guidelines and nutritional standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, including food preparation areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Follow food safety procedures, proper handling practices, and state licensing requirements.
- Monitor inventory, rotate supplies, and assist with ordering food and kitchen products.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and allergies as directed.
- Collaborate with childcare staff to support meal service and promote a positive dining experience for children.
