Part-Time Child Care Partner
About The Position
We need Part-Time Child Care Partners to work independently and as part of a team to care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 6 weeks to five years! This role involves providing a safe and loving environment, managing daily routines such as feeding and diaper changes, and leading age-appropriate activities. Requirements
- Must pass Drug Test (for all drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Must provide references
- Must be available Monday through Friday
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per Washoe County Licensing
- Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
- Caring individual who gets to know children by name
- Dedicated to local community
- Helping the team is a priority
- Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Nice To Haves
- High school or GED (Preferred)
- Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care
- Check children in and out
- Give bottles to infants
- Feed solid foods as age appropriate
- Change diapers as needed
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
- Play with toddlers and preschoolers
- Lead toddler and preschooler activities
- Put infants in cribs for nap time
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Clean toys at end of day
