CHILD CARE DIRECTOR - DIRECTOR PART TIME
About The Position
Columbia Association is seeking a Part-Time Child Care Director for its School Age Services program, which operates before and after school care in 20 elementary schools in Howard County. This role is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and weekly lesson plans to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of children. The director will also assist with cleaning and maintaining a healthy, safe environment, promote positive communication with families, children, and staff, and supervise, train, and counsel Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Program Aides. The position is for the school year from August 2026 through June 2027, with open positions for morning shifts (6:45 am - 9:15 am) and afternoon shifts (3:00 pm - 6:00 pm).

Responsibilities

- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
- Promoting positive, open communication with families, children, and staff.
- Supervising, training, and counseling Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Program Aides.
