About The Position

As a Child Care Attendant for Blue Springs Fieldhouse Parks and Recreation, you will provide a safe, FUN, and nurturing environment for children (ages 3 months to 10 years). This is a great job for a caring individual looking for part-time hours - this role will cover MORNING hours from 8am - noon / 20 hours weekly.

Requirements

Previous child care experience is helpful - with references.
Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification (training will be provided).
Good judgment and decision-making skills.
Patience.
Stamina and a good level of energy to complete all job duties and interact with games and physical activities.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
Ability to use hands and fingers to operate and handle general office equipment.
Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greeting each parent/guardian with a cheerful and caring attitude.
Ensuring that each child’s name is recorded.
Using creativity and high energy, you will engage in activities and interaction with children during their time in care.
Keeping children clean (hands washed, face wiped) at all times - as well as ensuring that toys are safe and sanitary is especially important.
Following procedures to disinfect will ensure the care area stays safe for kids.
Levering your effective communication skills - you will maintain positive relations with parents, patrons, supervisors, and co-workers.
Possess a calm nature in problem-solving situations.
Reporting any incidents or injuries to your Supervisor and completing proper forms.
Occasional Party Host duties may include setting up a room, assisting with fun, and ensuring a seamless and positive celebration for the smallest of party guests.
