About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring Associate Teachers to work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at locations in Bethlehem, Easton, and Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The position provides in-person supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and related services in an early education or preschool child care center, following Bright Horizons’ policies and guidance and applicable laws and regulations. The role includes assisting with hands-on activities, communicating with parents about children’s daily milestones, and maintaining a safe, clean classroom. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift, carry, or hold more than 40 pounds.
• Ability to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in activities.
• Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and appropriate energy to perform essential job requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
• Keep the classroom safe and clean by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide in-person supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
