This position involves planning and executing early childhood education experiences to promote the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. The role includes working with directors and teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities, establishing a program environment that fosters positive interactions, and assisting in leading planned activities. The Child Care Assistant will interact with children and youth using approved guidance techniques, engage professionally with staff, parents, and the command, and assist in maintaining program data and completing daily reports. Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining activity areas, monitoring children in various settings, ensuring their safety and whereabouts, and assisting with snacks/meals. Routine caregiving tasks, health checks, and parent interaction are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned.
