About The Position

The Y is looking for fun and energetic individuals to join their team of educators as a Child Care Assistant. This role offers part-time, flexible hours with no nights or weekends, providing opportunities for laughs, exercise, and memorable experiences in a child care setting. The position is for substitute/casual work in the Unicity & West Area.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to obtain Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
• Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check (apply upon hire)

Nice To Haves

• Training or experience with children
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Open to valuable on the job training and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in children’s activities
• Maintain a clean and safe daycare environment
• Provide a safe environment for children and vulnerable individuals
