About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Toddler Teacher in Westlake, Ohio, for $14–$18 per hour. The Assistant Teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home environment for children in care, following NAEYC guidelines. The role involves supporting classroom instruction, supervising children, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, encouraging children’s participation, and communicating with parents and guardians. The position has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms inside and outside as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
