About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Teacher (Assistant Guide) for its Central West End school. The role supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom serving infants, toddlers, and children ages 3–6. Assistant Teachers help create a calm, engaging environment that empowers children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. They assist with preparing intentional learning spaces and support individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The role helps children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 0–6 in a daycare, childcare, preschool, or early learning setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
