About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher in Clarence, NY. The role involves working alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children, following NAEYC guidelines. The assistant teacher helps provide a safe, warm, clean environment where children can grow and explore. No prior classroom experience is required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms inside and outside as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that supports children’s growth and exploration.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
