About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Solvay, New York center. The assistant teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and the role offers opportunities for professional development. The position is within the BrightPath Kids and Busy Bees childcare community, which includes over 5,000 employees. Pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour. No evenings or weekends are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
