About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a part-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Trumbull center. The assistant teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and the position is for closers who can work until 6:00 PM. No evenings or weekends are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
