About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Assistant Teacher to work with Pre-K children. The role supports a curriculum that broadens children’s perspectives and understanding of the world beyond their community. The position offers on-the-job training and career development opportunities, with a potential path from Assistant Teacher to Center Director. The Assistant Teacher works with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and keep the classroom running smoothly, partners with families to nurture and care for children, uses electronic daily tracking to document milestones, and follows enhanced safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe classroom. Employment is contingent upon successful background checks, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding. Employment is at-will.

Requirements

Be at least 19 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have demonstrated experience working with children.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience is preferred.
Early childhood coursework, a CDA, or a degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and ensure the classroom functions smoothly.
Partner with families to nurture and care for their children.
Use electronic daily tracking to document children’s special milestones.
Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep the classroom clean and safe.
Visually supervise children at all times.
