About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its North Syracuse, New York center. The Assistant Teacher works alongside teachers and families to create a welcoming, home-like environment for children in the center’s care, ages 6 weeks through 12 years. No classroom experience is required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided. The position pays $16.00–$18.00 per hour and has no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms inside and outside as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
