About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Amherst (Crosspoint), NY center. The role works side by side with teachers and families to provide children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with a home-away-from-home experience in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and the position pays $16.00–$18.00 per hour. The schedule has no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms inside and outside as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
