About The Position

Our clients are seeking healthcare professionals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those who have experienced trauma, faced complex medical diagnoses, or require support in their personal development. If this describes you, we invite you to join our team. Our clients are remarkable individuals seeking care from professionals with a wide range of expertise. They rely on compassionate and dependable individuals like you to assist them with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), ensuring client safety while participating in community and home based activities, redirecting, behaviour management and elopement concerns, and engaging the client in functional activities in community and home based activities. Other care tasks include: organization, meal preparation, transportation, emotional support, hygiene care/support, and other daily tasks. You would be the ideal candidate to work with us if you are someone who is reliable, organized, and can work independently. Our goals would be to engage in routines with the client from play to hygiene support, and continuous 1:1 supervision. We are looking for a caregiver with experience working with kids living with ASD (non verbal experience as well), and comfortable with hygiene support (changing diapers).

Requirements

  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Smartphone with a data plan
  • Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months
  • Experience working with kids living with ASD (non verbal experience as well)
  • Comfortable with hygiene support (changing diapers)

Nice To Haves

  • University and/or College education in a related field
  • Driver’s License “G” class with access to a vehicle
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI)
