Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community. Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth with diverse needs? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Care Counsellor to support children aged 5 to 18, helping them unlock their full potential through personalized care and support. If you're ready to inspire growth and development in a dynamic, community-based setting, we want to hear from you! Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing individualized strategies, and establishing indicators to measure progress toward goals. They will implement and facilitate these strategies—primarily in community-based settings—and evaluate client progress through detailed reports and activity notes. The role includes providing recreational, educational, and social learning opportunities, promoting peer interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities also include participating in events, offering feedback to new staff, and attending case review meetings. The counsellor will manage schedules, record expenses, and collaborate with other professionals.
