About The Position

Carolina Pediatric Therapy is seeking a passionate, compassionate, and curious Child and Family Therapist to join their multi-disciplinary team on a part-time, pay-per-visit basis. This role is based in their South Asheville clinic, serving children and families ages birth through 18 in an outpatient setting. The position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule and determine your own hours while being part of a collaborative pediatric therapy practice committed to high-quality care and meaningful clinical work. The therapist will evaluate and treat children and families with a wide range of behavioral and mental health needs, providing engaging, evidence-based interventions designed to help them build skills, strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and reach their potential. The role emphasizes making therapy practical and meaningful by helping children use developed skills within their natural environments.

Requirements

  • Licensure in Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Experience and training in evidence-based treatments
  • Must be passionate about working with children and families
  • Must value collaboration and believe in interdisciplinary care
  • Must be curious and committed to continued learning

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Strong pediatric candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat children and families with a wide range of behavioral and mental health needs.
  • Provide engaging, evidence-based interventions designed to help children and families build skills, strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and reach their potential.
  • Make therapy practical and meaningful by helping children use the skills they develop in therapy within the environments where they actually live, learn, and grow.
  • Collaborate with a highly engaged interdisciplinary team, including OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychology, and other Child and Family Therapists.
  • Contribute your behavioral health perspective to a multidisciplinary pediatric setting.
  • Build a caseload that fits your availability.
  • Create your own schedule and choose your hours.
  • Work across clinic and telehealth environments, as applicable to your role and availability.
