About The Position

Carolina Pediatric Therapy is seeking a passionate, compassionate, and curious Child and Family Therapist to join their multi-disciplinary team of pediatric clinicians on a part-time, pay-per-visit basis. This role is located at their South Asheville clinic, serving children and families ages birth through 18 in an outpatient setting. The position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule and determine your own hours while being part of a collaborative practice committed to high-quality care and meaningful clinical work. Requirements

  • Licensure in Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Experience using evidence-based treatments
  • Willingness to have courageous conversations when needed
  • Practice with compassion, professionalism, and integrity
  • Experience and training in evidence-based treatments
  • Must be part of a team—not simply a provider working independently

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Strong pediatric candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat children and families with a wide range of behavioral and mental health needs.
  • Provide engaging, evidence-based interventions designed to help children and families build skills, strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and reach their potential.
  • Make therapy practical and meaningful by helping children use the skills they develop in therapy within the environments where they actually live, learn, and grow.
  • Collaborate with a highly engaged interdisciplinary team, including OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychology, and other Child and Family Therapists.
  • Contribute a behavioral health perspective to a multidisciplinary pediatric setting.
  • Utilize tools designed to make documentation more efficient and manageable, with customizable templates, AI-assisted tools, and reasonable expectations focused on quality care.
  • Work across clinic and telehealth environments, as applicable to your role and availability.
