About The Position

Blackbird Health is seeking a Child and Adolescent Therapist to join their team in Centreville, VA. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to young patients and their families. The position offers a predictable base salary with the potential to earn more, part-time W-2 employment with full benefits, a hybrid model with flexible scheduling, and a supportive, mission-driven team environment. Requirements

  • Licensed as an LPC, LCSW and LMFT in Virginia.
  • One (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care therapy to children and adolescent patients.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting.
  • Skilled in facilitating both in-person and virtual telehealth sessions with strong technical proficiency (Google Suite, EMR systems, virtual platforms).
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong clinical judgment and excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Dedicated to high-touch, comprehensive care, not just clinical sessions, but true partnership with families and caregivers.
  • Collaborative team player who values clinical consultation, feedback, and professional growth.
  • Own your own phone, computer, and high-speed internet (if applicable as a 1099 contractor).
  • Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 4pm ET during the week and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress.
  • Invest in patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients.
  • Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with other specialty providers.
  • Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate.
