About The Position

The Child/Adolescent Psychotherapist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to identified needs. This role involves managing clients in crisis using appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques, writing treatment and discharge plans based on patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation, and collaborating with guardians and community agencies for effective service delivery. The psychotherapist will also complete patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy, provide accurate and timely documentation of patient care and response in the medical record, and complete accurate and timely billing information. Additionally, the role includes designing, planning, and implementing effective patient education and maintaining open lines of communication and collaboration with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required.
  • Full licensure in applicable state required.
  • 2 years clinical experience required.
  • CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapist working in inpatient psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record.
  • Completes accurate and timely billing information.
  • Designs, plans, implements effective patient education.
  • Maintains open lines of communication, collaborates with healthcare team for patient outcome.
