Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join an established team of three Child Abuse Pediatricians providing comprehensive child maltreatment services across Central California. This is an opportunity to practice within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and supporting families affected by abuse and neglect. The Child Advocacy team works closely with pediatric specialists, behavioral health professionals, social services, law enforcement, legal partners, and community agencies to provide coordinated evaluation and care for children through the region. Child abuse services at Valley Children’s are supported by the Guilds Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center, which serves as a dedicated resource for the evaluation and care of children with suspected abuse, neglect, and other forms of maltreatment. Established through a $5 million philanthropic investment, the Center provides the infrastructure and multidisciplinary resources necessary to support comprehensive child advocacy services throughout Central California. Services include diagnostic evaluations for suspected physical abuse, pediatric sexual abuse and assault evaluations, medical clearance examinations for children entering foster care, evaluation of children affected by commercial sexual exploitation, inpatient and outpatient child maltreatment consultation, multidisciplinary case review and expert consultation, and expert testimony in dependency and criminal proceedings. The program is recognized throughout Central California and across the state for its work in child advocacy, injury prevention, education, research, and community outreach. As a Child Abuse Pediatrician with Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group, you will provide comprehensive medical evaluations for children referred to for suspected abuse or neglect in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists and community partners to provide coordinated, evidence-based, trauma-informed care.
