Chief Technology Advisor - Global Service Provider

World Wide Technology Healthcare SolutionsFrancisco, IN
$175,000 - $225,000Hybrid

About The Position

World Wide Technology is seeking a Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) to join our GSP Global CTO leadership team. The role will be responsible for all GSP AI Solutions and serve as the senior technical authority for sales engagements across Service Provider and Cloud Provider accounts. This is an industry and executive-facing, revenue-influencing role that operates at the intersection of deep technical expertise and business strategy. The CTA for GSP AI Solutions also owns the GSP industry strategy, provides guidance across AI, digital, data, security, and broader technology initiatives — including AI strategy, foundation-model and GenAI adoption, AI-ready infrastructure, agentic AI, modern data platforms, cloud and digital transformation, and the security posture that underpins them — working closely with GSP's Global CTO organization and GSP's customer executive leadership to ensure their technology investments deliver long-term business outcomes, operational impact, and competitive advantage. The Global Service Provider CTO team has industry AI Solutions experts that support the world's largest carriers, hyperscalers, and cloud-native providers — bringing AI strategy, AI-ready infrastructure, GenAI and agentic platforms, modern data, security, and broader digital transformation together under one team. The CTA plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships by working closely with our customers, key OEMs, hyperscale and neo-provider, AI providers, and silicon partners, as well as WWT's account teams and internal engineering, delivery and service organizations. You will be the industry AI voice in the room when it matters most — representing Global Service Provider AI Solutions alongside WWT account executives, AI/Data practice leaders, and architects engaging with Chief AI Officers, CDAOs, CTOs, CIOs, and VP-level technology, AI, data, and infrastructure buyers at the largest carriers, hyperscalers, and cloud-native providers in the country. Your credibility is the differentiator, ultimately leading to the deployment of transformative AI, digital, data, security, and broader technology solutions in support of our customers' business strategies.

Requirements

  • Deep, current understanding of GPU and accelerator architectures (NVIDIA H100/H200/B200/GB200, AMD MI300, AWS Trainium, Google TPU), AI networking fabrics (InfiniBand, RoCE, NVLink/NVSwitch, Ethernet AI fabrics), parallel storage (Weka, VAST, Lustre, DDN), large-cluster training and inference design, and high-density power and liquid-cooling considerations.
  • Working knowledge of foundation-model pretraining and post-training, fine-tuning, RLHF, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic AI systems, evaluation tooling, and the trade-offs between proprietary, open-weight, and customer-trained models.
  • Familiarity with modern inference platforms and frameworks (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, SGLang, Triton Inference Server) and the architectural trade-offs around latency, throughput, cost, and multi-tenancy at scale.
  • Ability to design AI-ready architectures and integrate AI-driven solutions across the customer's estate to enhance decision-making, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Comfort designing across owned, colocated, hyperscaler, and neocloud (CoreWeave, Lambda, Crusoe, Nebius) environments to balance AI performance, capacity, cost, sovereignty, and compliance.
  • Strong fluency in modern data architecture for AI — including data engineering and pipelines, lakehouses, vector databases, feature stores, and MLOps/LLMOps tooling.
  • Advisory experience around the security posture that underpins AI, data, and digital initiatives — including model-weight protection, secure multi-tenancy, supply-chain integrity, responsible-AI guardrails, and the broader controls needed to keep customer environments resilient and compliant.
  • Solid grounding in the operational realities of Service Provider and Cloud Provider customers — including software-defined infrastructure, automation, and the unique demands these customers place on AI infrastructure and platforms.
  • Familiar with MLOps/LLMOps, agile delivery, and continuous integration of AI models and pipelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Equally comfortable presenting a technical architecture and a strategic business case to a board-level audience.
  • Sound business acumen and executive presence.
  • Proven track record of working with subject matter experts, consultants, professional services, IT, operations, and others over the technology lifecycle to maximize ROI/TCO.
  • Skilled at aligning internal teams (account executives, practice leaders, professional services, vendor partners) around a shared customer strategy.
  • Strong ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Experience mediating and negotiating with individuals and groups internally and externally by keeping colleagues updated on activities and forecasting.
  • Proven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of others.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and empower teams through a persuasive and credible thought process and presentation skills.
  • Foster a culture of continuous skill development and strategic alignment with business goals to address talent retention and skills gaps.
  • Focus on sustainability and green technology, incorporating energy-efficient practices in digital strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Executive/Sr. level meetings with customers to gain a detailed understanding of their technical and business needs.
  • Develop transformational GSP industry specific solutions and roadmaps across AI, digital, data, security, and broader technology initiatives that enable our customers to achieve best-in-class performance, reliability, security, and responsible-use posture, while adhering to industry-standard architectural principles.
  • Conduct architecture and technical workshops — including enablement sessions, strategy sessions, and Proof of Value engagements — working with WWT experts across AI, digital, data, security, and broader technology disciplines, including GPU and accelerator platforms, AI networking and storage, data platforms, GenAI and agentic AI, security and governance, and modern application development.
  • Demonstrate WWT's AI value proposition and differentiation effectively to technical and business audiences — including the AI Proving Ground, ATC AI labs, and WWT's end-to-end AI services portfolio.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of WWT's Advanced Technology Center (ATC), AI Proving Ground, and North American Integration Center (NAIC) — building effective working relationships with leaders in these areas to represent the full WWT AI value proposition to customers.
  • Work closely with the AI/Data practice, Management Consulting, implementation, and project teams to ensure smooth transitions from AI strategy and sales into delivery.
  • Participate in industry, product, sales, and procedural training as needed to maintain the knowledge and certifications necessary to be effective.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information such as activity reports, bid reviews, and project forecasts that adhere to WWT's quality and business processes.
